St.Patrick’s Day Fun with Kids

Get the kids involved this St.Patrick’s Day with some quick and easy painting projects. I love pulling out the paint and watching the kids get all excited and inspired to create. Even though St.Patrick’s Day isn’t a huge holiday here in the US, it does come with some pretty fun things such as clovers, rainbows and gold. These are just some of the fun ideas I came up with for my kids, and they loved them.

Bell Pepper Stamping

Nothing funner to a kid then taking food and playing with it. Simply cut the top off of a bell pepper, smoosh it in some paint and stamp on paper. You can use any color or size of bell pepper, in fact, using different ones can make it more fun. I also noticed that using the top you cut off is not a great idea and their hands get more paint on them so I prefer to use the larger part of the bell pepper as the stamp.

Clover Hands

Hand print projects are always nice because you can save them and remember their hand sizes when they grow up.

Dip hands in some green paint and stamp onto paper in the shape of a 4 or 3 leaf clover. Then you can paint on a stem or cut a stem from green paper and glue on.

Rainbow Hands

I love all the rainbows on St.Patrick’s day and rainbow hands are no exception. This one takes a little more time and patience because you have to re-stamp the hands in all the different colors, but the kids love the colors and the final picture is worth it.

I hope I have inspired you to break out some paint and get a little messy with your little ones. Happy St.Patrick’s Day!
