Valentine’s Day Pretzel Buttons

I’m always looking for new fun foods to make for special days and Valentine’s day is nothing different. Pretzel buttons are an easy sweet snack for any occasion so I thought why not festive them up for Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients:
-1 bag of Square Pretzels (Snaps) – The butter-flavored ones add an extra special taste.
-11 oz. bag of Hershey’s Hugs Kisses – I used the hugs for a nice black and white swirl look
-1 bag of M&M’s – I used the Valentine’s ones with pink, red, and white.

Start by placing parchment paper on a cookie sheet. I found that foil causes the kisses to burn more than melt. Next, lay the square pretzels all around on the cookie sheet so that they are flat and none of them are overlapping.

Then, add a Hershey’s kiss to the top of each pretzel.

Once you have a kiss on each pretzel, place them in the oven preheated to 200. Cook for 5 min until the kisses are warm and soft. Remove them from the oven and place an M&M on top of each one, gently pushing down into the kiss. Be careful not to push too hard and make a mushy mess. It’s best to place them in the fridge to cool so they don’t continue to melt and goo at room temperature.

37 Calroies per serving. This recipe will make aprox. 72 buttons, give or take a few depending on the number of broken pretzel are in the bag. Obviously, you don’t want to use the broken ones but they do make a nice snack while cooking them.

I’d love to see how your Pretzel Buttons come out so feel free to come back and comment with a photo below. If you have any special tips to add, feel free to comment below.

Hugs and Kisses,
